360 Virtual Tour - Educating Picasso

Introduction

Contemporary artists, like all the masters before them, have take inspiration from every preceding century: from the 13th to the 15th century, Giotto to Michelangelo; from the 16th to the 20th, El Greco to Picasso; and from all the great influences of Modernism - Pre-Raphaelites, Monet, Cezanne, Matisse, Duchamp, Pollock, Rothko and Bacon.

Being an artist, is to be promised with royal-blood blessings, Old Masters have fed artists with centuries of richness that seemed beyond human imagination. And still we are progressing, right up to the present day.

Educating Picasso is an exhibition celebrating contemporary art masters who educate artists of our time. They are the living examples of how art history is born and continues to unfold. Together, these teachers portray humanity through multi-mediums from two different angels -

the Master and I

and

the Landscape and I.

Like all the crafts, skills and knowledge, art practices are handed down from one generation to another, from the masters themselves to their devoted disciples. The art of these masters is the truthful landscape of contemporary art practice; they are a group of honest-living artists who continue to make, to teach and inspire generations of artists in our time.                                                                                shizico yi curator

Don’t pity the humble painter, he has all things first in his mind then in his hand, by his art, he maybe called the grandchild of God” ~ Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519)
